Three Sisters Mountain Village: Building a Complete Mountain Community
The approved Area Structure Plans for Three Sisters Village and Smith Creek provide the broader vision for Three Sisters Mountain Village (TSMV): a carefully planned mountain community built around connected neighbourhoods, trails, open space, recreation, local services, and housing choice. Together with Stewart Creek, Three Sisters Creek, and Three Sisters Ridge, these neighbourhoods form Three Sisters Mountain Village. Three Sisters Mountain Village offers residents and visitors a refined Canmore mountain experience rooted in connection, lifestyle, and environmental stewardship.
Three Sisters Village
Three Sisters Village is envisioned as a vibrant mixed-use destination with thoughtfully designed homes, shops and services, wellness amenities, visitor accommodation, parks, and pathways. Walkable, inclusive, and environmentally responsible, it will create a bustling new hub for community life and year-round mountain adventure.
Smith Creek
Smith Creek is planned as a complete residential neighbourhood with a connected mountain lifestyle, offering housing choice, parks, trails, local amenities, sustainable transportation, and employment areas that support Canmore’s long-term economic resilience.
Stewart Creek
Stewart Creek is an established mountain neighbourhood that helped form the foundation of the TSMV vision. With homes, parks, trails, recreation opportunities, pathway connections, and the Gateway at Three Sisters commercial hub, it blends everyday convenience with an elevated alpine lifestyle.
Wildlife Corridors and Environmental Stewardship
TSMV has contributed significantly to wildlife conservation in Canmore by setting aside 60% of their privately-owned land base for wildlife corridors. Now provincially owned, these designated corridors support the movement of elk, deer, bears, cougars, and other wildlife. Through monitoring, provincially designated wildlife corridors, wildlife fencing, signage, designated trail access, and education, TSMV helps reduce human / wildlife conflict and ensures wildlife can continue to move safely through the Bow Valley landscape now and well into the future.

Looking Ahead
Three Sisters Mountain Village is launching Three Sisters Village Phase 1 with its Builder Partners: Devonian Properties, HCI Ventures Inc., Logel Homes, and PCH Builders, and anticipates launching Smith Creek Phase 1 in 2028. As TSMV grows, it will continue to compliment Canmore’s character through connected neighbourhoods, open space, housing, employment, recreation, and environmental stewardship.
