Three Sisters Mountain Village Community
Three Sisters Mountain Village is a long-term, master-planned mountain community designed to grow thoughtfully alongside the rest of Canmore. Three Sisters Mountain Village is an integral part of Canmore with its newest neighbourhoods, Three Sisters Village and Smith Creek, offering places for residents to live, visitors to explore and guests to stay in ways that feel authentic to the Bow Valley experience.
The community is planned around walkability, bike and trail connectivity, access to outdoor recreation, and a mix of housing types and local services. Future growth focuses on creating vibrant neighbourhoods that support daily life, seasonal tourism and long-term sustainability for generations to come.

The Gateway at Three Sisters
Seeing students running down the pathway from Our Lady of the Snows at lunch, alongside the steady activity at The Gateway at Three Sisters energises our retailers and helps shape our vibrant highway commercial hub.
Excitement continues to build, with Ascent Dental, Firehouse Subs, Tim Hortons and Beamer’s Coffee preparing to open their doors soon. Together with PetValu, Dollarama and the I.G.A grocery store, they provide Canmore residents with more choice for their shopping needs.
We are proud to say that the employee housing is almost at occupancy, underscoring the critical need Three Sisters Mountain Village is playing to help ensure both people and businesses can thrive in Canmore. Phase 2, which is currently under construction, is advancing quickly and will introduce a broader mix of restaurants, retail, medical and professional services and additional employee housing. More tenant announcements and openings are expected in the coming months as this area continues to build momentum.

2026 July Three Sisters Village Construction Summary
You’ll be happy to hear that the Three Sisters Parkway / Village Road Roundabout will be fully paved, with the majority of construction work in this location completed at the end of July beginning of August! Landscaping in the roundabout will be completed by the end of August. The multi-use pathway will reopen, and the pathway detour will remain closed until we commence on pathway paving in this area later in the fall.
Road paving has commenced on the main collector, Village Road. Curbs are already starting to appear on Village Road and the grey sidewalks will commence next week. You will start to see the famous red cycle tracks on Village Road commence construction shortly there after. Shallow utility work (electrical, gas, telecommunications) will commence at the end of July or beginning of August and will continue into the fall.
IMPORTANT: Access to Three Sisters Village is closed to the public until the roads can be turned over to the Town of Canmore. While the roads may look like they can be driven upon, they are still unsafe for the public – especially with all of the heavy equipment and construction traffic. For your own safety and that of our construction crews, please do not attempt to drive through until they are officially open.
Commencement of construction on parks, pathways and trails is expected to commence at the end of August. Builders are also commencing their construction in Three Sisters Village. You will see their work as they remove trees and grade their sites. The variety of housing that will be offered in the first phase is varied and includes affordable and attainable housing, luxury townhomes and stacked townhomes both for sale and for rent.
