The Gateway at Three Sisters
Welcomes Food Retailer IGA

The Gateway at Three Sisters (The Gateway) will welcome IGA, one of the operating banners of Sobeys Capital Incorporated, as grocery retailer for The Gateway in Canmore, Alberta.

The new 22,000 sq. ft. IGA grocery store will be conveniently located at 300 Cascade Drive in Three Sisters. It will offer the Canmore community with everyday essentials, fresh produce, high quality products, and exceptional customer service, catering to the diverse needs of both residents and visitors.

“We are thrilled to welcome IGA to The Gateway at Three Sisters,” says Sam Sidhu, Development Manager for the project. “The residents of Canmore and the surrounding communities have been eagerly awaiting a new grocery store for some time. The new IGA will service their needs and establish The Gateway as a key destination for the area’s growing population.”

Underground utilities, site servicing and roadwork for The Gateway at Three Sisters have been underway since last year. While construction of the grocery store is pending development permit approval, it is anticipated to open to the public in Summer 2026.

Construction is currently taking place for retail, office and restaurant space, and employee housing within Gateway at Three Sisters with opening scheduled for Summer 2025.  With the IGA grocery store now secure, and other exciting retailers and businesses to come, Bow Valley residents and visitors will soon have a convenient and easily accessible destination where they can fulfill their daily wants and needs.

The Gateway at Three Sisters is a new mixed-use development located along the Trans-Canada Highway in Canmore, Alberta. This 290,000 sq. ft. master-planned development will cater to the diverse needs of residents, visitors, and employees alike by providing new retail, commercial, and wellness facilities, modern office spaces, and employee accommodations. The Gateway at Three Sisters is a component of the prestigious Three Sisters Mountain Village community. Located in the Stewart Creek neighbourhood, The Gateway at Three Sisters will also provide shopping amenities to the future Three Sisters Village and Smith Creek neighbourhoods.
